The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded nsfas status to deliver the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to nsfas status apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
